Gift-giving

Right now, Matthew is asleep in his crib and I am ecstatic. We’ve been trying to teach him to like his crib, because he’s been sleeping with us in our bed (yes I know all about the discussions on using a family bed). It’s taken a while, since he preferred to be elsewhere and would fuss when I’d lay him down in the crib; he’d rather be on our bed, on the couch, and of course in our arms!

He turned a month old last week, and Armand came home with his present: an FP Ocean Wonders mobile complete with music and a light show to, well, bribe him (ok, so it’s a lame attempt but it’s a pretty one). Of course we assembled and put up the mobile right away and put the baby in the crib, turned on the music and the lights, and then: deadma.

Now, mad.

Well, in the past few days, we’ve made some progress. He’s starting to pay attention to the music and the fishies and the lights now. Buti na lang, ang mahal nun ‘no!
